Not yet. So my company rewards trip is this weekend, we leave Friday morning and get back Monday evening. That's the good news. The bad news is that it's in Key West, which is suspiciously within the green zone in this picture. It's not looking good for a relaxing few days in the sun, but it is looking quite good for the whole freaking thing to be cancelled. Check out http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ for updates.
In other news, 4th of July weekend was great. Allie is feeling 90% better and was able to enjoy some very yummy grill. Saturday we spent in Maywood, and the Clarks joined us! Then Sunday we did some more grilling in Ringwood after a fantastic afternoon of canoe paddling. Ken and I were goodly enough to spare all of the poor defenseless Bass. Sunday Allie and I hit the pool, then enjoyed a fanastic Yankee victory while napping on and off on the couch. Speaking of the Yankees, be sure to check out some of Mike Casey's handiwork. My personal favorite is the opening line about Giambi, "His first home run was a milestone. His second was a momentum-shifter." Dobler and Ciafolo would be so freakin' proud, it brings a tear to my eye. Click here for the whole article. This is a great one too about Bernie's heroics, Bern baby Bern. And you can really tell in this one that it's coming from years of Met fan frustrations. So jaded, Case, so jaded.
